What is SP2?

SP2 integrates state-of the-art- research with policy to enable better decisions in Spatial Planning. There are two case study regions; Auckland and Wellington. SP2:

  • Is a long term project until 2015
  • Assists current policy processes to integrate the 4 well-beings
  • Aims to help develop consensus on HOW to develop a spatial plan, especially long term direction and exploring tradeoffs
  • Will develop tools for scenario development and transition pathways (30-50 years)
